Still searching for love and is near to losing hope you'll ever find one? Don't. Go through our articles of other members who have almost given up finding love but eventually found the love of their lives. As they say, love always comes at the right time. What to do while waiting for the right person to arrive? Go through our self-love and self-care topics. Get yourself ready for the one, so that when the time comes, you'll be ready, without hesitation.
However what WE KNOW is that in every culture, nearly everybody on Earth, we go in search of love. With another 7 billion people, how can it be so hard to find love?! In some cases we ask ourselves, "Where is everyone?" That was what Enrico Fermi asked, other than that he was speaking about extraterrestrial life.
Number one is that you separate sex and love the same way that you separate love from any other activity that you might do. I think a good example of this is eating. You could go out with your partner, or someone that you have crush on, someone that you're in love with and it could be a really romantic date.

Long-standing campus in central London. People who I know have gone here have had good experiences. The cafe is a nice meeting point for a coffee and snack.

This is the place if you want to pursue a degree as a mature student or just want to take some courses. Everything is at night so it works around work schedules, but still keeps its academic authenticity. I can't recommend highly enough. I suggest checking out their website for available courses. The location is very convenient if you are in town for work or live here.

A poor student experience. My experience of studying humanities and history of art at BBK was incredibly poor. Research and think well if you want to spend your money here. Many of the tutors don't reply on time. Some admin team members were not the most helpful neither. It's a shame as there are some amazing people in the department as well. Some head of departments are massively biased and keep promoting politically infused agenda which affects some students experience.

My colleagues were afraid to question these ideas for fear of seeming bigots and some tutors want to stir far away from important questions. The study material could be upgraded and more widely available in the library. Assignments are marked inconsistently in my experience and I got higher grades when conforming to pc ideology and less when questioning it.

Very poor pathway selections not corresponding to advertised ones. I wouldn't recommend studying here unless you are going for something other than humanities and the emerging so called grievance studies, so research it really well for its humanities and history of art department to make a highly informed decision.

I studied three years at Birkbeck for a History of Art BA and then did a further year of study for my MA. The evening set up meant I could still work and the courses were so engaging that I felt refreshed rather than exhausted. The vast majority of the lecturers are extremely knowledgeable and teach their subjects with passion. I could not have got my degrees at a conventional university and am forever grateful for the unique teaching system at Birkbeck.

I actually commute from York to study here! Studying here for my MA and cannot recommend enough. Doing their best to balance lockdown vs the benefits of in person teaching. Profs of a high standard, sometimes field-leading and the workload/timing is fantastic for those who need their days free.

My experience so far has been terrible. Paying full price and having to do all of my first year online while looking after a child was bad enough. Now, starting my second year, I've just been informed that their nursery will not being opening this year, which is one the main reasons I chose Birkbeck in the first place. This is just devastating for me as I have no one to look after my child and I just feel cheated.

How am I supposed to attend lectures when they took away the one thing that would have that possible for me. They cannot expect a single parent/student to be able to afford the cost of a nanny willing to look after children until at least 10pm or even find one. I wish I had never applied here.

Great university for dedicated and interested students. You have to commit to your own studies and be independent, using the classes as a supplement to your personal studies. Graduated from Birkbeck proudly in 2020. Thanks so much for the experience, knowledge and passion you shared with me.

I spent four, long painful years (evenings, weekends and every other possible free day) of my life here. Overall experience was a positive one. However library was only ever open 24 hours in very small periods, classes were cancelled at short notice and in some cases not taught at all (during various strikes). The admin team are nothing short of amazing, very helpful each time I had a query and switching to part time study was both an easy and straight forward process. Facilities in general are okay, some locations are not well maintained and the use of class rooms can vary depending on availability at weekends (especially if you wish to work within small groups and libraries are not always the most appropriate place for discussion). Seminars were often taught by recent masters graduates and didn't feel that well supported in some aspects.

You are on your own with a majority of the time and encouraged to use both your initiative and common sense. Time management will either be your friend or your worst enemy here. Not the conventional university set up and support is there if you absolutely need it, although guidance as to who is best for each case can be somewhat misleading. Very rarely covered all the reading materials in lectures, almost impossible given the 90 minute format, so you are expected to cover the remainder in your own free time which I imagine cannot be easy for the lifestyles of some. Would recommend this University if evening study suits your circumstances!
