Relocating to Plymouth in 1980 Steve Whitford founded Pepper, having had a successful business in Essex. Starting in a small unit at Marsh Mills Industrial estate then (The Design & Print Workshop) it quickly outgrew the space moving to Langage Industrial Estate, then to the purpose built factory where it remains today.

It's honestly the most disgusting bank, all they do is waste your time and money. We have given 2 amazing properties which didn't need a lot of work and they still rejected the property for the most stupidest reasons. One of the house was rejected because there's a pylon couple of houses away which is very embarrassing as it doesn't affect the house or doesn't come within the property.
This is one of the example they waste your time and money, I have spent 600 in total for the 2 properties but they were keen to take the money and not to lend the mortgage. They keep changing their mind up firstly they said 2 years fixed term which is what the computer calculated as and then after few days they said 5 years fixed term also be aware it was not calculated from their system they just choose it to take money off you. Staffs are VERY VERY rude and they clearly have something agenda with the customers despite being nice to them in return and one example is one of the colleagues was giving a very rude tone and attitude which firstly is very wrong and also disgusting. Please do not go for this bank they will waste your time and money and affect you mentally. Check TrustPilot for more reviews which are very similar to my case.

Deeply concerning company. it's now taken a month for Pepper Money to acknowledge our loan has been paid back in full, and release our house from it's second charge. Every time I call they insist we owe more money - which they then realise we don't! (As we don't) Multiple calls on, and still no sign of any paperwork to finalise the loan. The staff are friendly enough, but they clearly have an agenda.
I now have no choice but to report Pepper Money to the FCA for breach of contract. I would avoid this firm as they cause lots of unnecessary stress, and for anyone not as sharp as we are, would easily bamboozle customers into paying them money they are not owed. Disgraceful.
